It's a Mind-Thing

Are you where you want to be in life? Yes. Have you reached the highest level of self success? No? Didn't think so. Why do I say that with confidence? Well simply because as long as we live we will always have room to improve and do/become better. If you originally answered No to the first question, clearly we have a lot to chat about, but let's save that for a one-on-one discussion.

We hear the quotes, "Be the change you wish to see and you'll see the world around you change." Or "To be successful, you must be willing to do the things today others won't do in order to have the things tomorrow others won't have." ~ Les Brown

Those said changes and the things we must do; where does it all begin? It begins with a made up mind. The people that I counsel usually have the same running questions, "How do I start ?" or "How do I begin?" If you don't know where to start, start with a made up mind. Once the mind is committed to doing something it takes the mind (self) to talk self out of it. The thing is make just one commitment at a time, one that you know you'll be able to keep. Carrying out this commitment will improve how you feel about your self and your ability to grow towards the person you want to be.

It's a Mind-Thing.

Understand that the person that you envision yourself becoming will not have the same mindset that you have now. What exactly is this mind thing? Well you see if you're reading this you are a person who engages in self-talk. It may not be audible for others to hear it, but you are thinking to yourself quite often. In this self talk sometimes we analyze, rationalize, challenge and discover new meanings and definitions of life; develop strategies to improve our daily lives; and even daydream about our future.

You want to change, improve and work on becoming a better person for yourself first and then for others? Then you have to make a commitment in your mind to do and be your best at all times. What is your best today may not be your best tomorrow, but living each day as it comes strengthens your mind's ability to focus. Focus on each day's decisions, why? Because today's decisions are tomorrow's living.

What may have worked to get you to the level you're at now may not work to take you to the next level. A mind that is committed in unlocking the tools you need in becoming a better person, is a mind that cannot be conquered. Commit to growing and feeding your mind.

If you don't know where to start, start with a made up mind. It's a Mind-Thing.
